AKTI Project and Research Centre celebrated 15 years of action in Cyprus environmental matters on Friday 18th December 2015 at the Space and Science Cafe in Nicosia. Thank you everyone for coming to celebrate with us!

AKTI has, since 2000, been actively involved and eagerly working to educate local society and raise awareness on the principles of sustainable development. We promote research and innovation and apply practical solutions to Cyprus environmental problems.

Μιχάλη Ιερίδη, Γενικό Γραμματέα της CYMEPA και Αντιμετώπιση της Κλιματικής Αλλαγής με την Funda Zaim, Μηχανικός Περιβάλλοντος και Σύμβουλος Περιβαλλοντικής Υγείας.

AKTI Project and Research Centre and Mediterranean partners have been successful in the application process for the Minorities on the Israel trail project.

The Israel National Trail is a 1,100km nature trail that crosses the entire country north to south.

The “Minorities on the Israel National Trail”  project aims to bring together European and Israeli NGOs for a week of hiking and hands on work, visiting a number of Israeli minority communities along the trail and learning about how to create environmental education programs appealing to the youth from immigrant and minority groups. The idea is to discuss ways that environmental activities can help celebrate diversity and respect.

The TEDxLimassol event will take place on October 3^rd at the Rialto Theater, Limassol with the theme: True Heroes. The aim of this year’s event is to spread ideas on change and innovation. The stage speakers are those who are not complacent and continue to innovate in their field.

AKTI Project and Research Center with Green Cluster project will be at the TEDxLimassol! A full day workshop with hands-on composting activities.
