Cyprus, Crete, and Malta are teaming up to boost citizen participation in democratic processes for the environment through the new RESIsles project.

Led by AKTI Project and Research Centre, with the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research and Nature Trust – FEE Malta, this project will empower over 1,700 citizens—especially youth, women, and rural communities—through school presentations, seminars, competitions, and more.

RESIsles aims to spark a dialogue on the economic, social, and environmental challenges facing Cyprus, Malta, and Crete—the three most populous and vulnerable Mediterranean islands—due to climate change.
