Plastic pollution threatens the human right to a healthy environment. It has spread across the planet, contaminating the water we drink, the food we consume, and accumulating in our bodies. As of 2025, the oceans contain an estimated 75–199 million tonnes of plastic, with 4.8–12.7 million tonnes added annually. The problem is escalating rapidly, with projections indicating ocean plastic could triple by 2025 if current trends continue. Let’s unite to #BeatPlasticPollution.
