AKTI is working side-by-side with farmers through the TERRASAFE project!

AKTI is working side-by-side with farmers through the TERRASAFE project!

The causes of desertification are global and complex — but the solutions must be local and grounded.

That’s why AKTI is working directly with farmers and community members in vulnerable regions of Cyprus through workshops, focus groups, and farm visits.

Stakeholder Engagement Activities

In a pre-meeting on 16/05 and during the 3rd Stakeholder Workshop on 27/06, we collaborated with local farmers who will join the TERRASAFE experimentation to:

  • Co-decide on the final plots where TERRASAFE will carry out its experiments
  • Co-design the common management practices to apply
  • Select the traditional and organic practices to test alongside TERRASAFE’s innovations
  • Provide feedback on the innovation selection process

Because real resilience comes from making change with the people it affects most — not just talking about it.
