AKTI implements environmental research based on the Cyprus’s context, scale and particularities aiming to provide answers and tangible solutions to the island’s environmental challenges.
Environmental Education and Vocational Training
AKTI promotes and supports the construction of a knowledge based society with active mobilised citizens. It collaborates with schools, Universities and local authorities in various initiatives.
Integrated Coastal Zone Management
AKTI has been actively engaged in Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM), a process for the management of coasts using an integrated approach, regarding all aspects of the coastal zone.
